Beer Target bitterness is 16 BU
Final Beer Volume is 3.000 HL


Kg Alpha-Acid =
(16 Beer BU's) (3,000HL) /
(1 CO2 Conc.) (0.30 Util.%) (10,000)
= 16.9 Kg of Alpha-Acid


How does the brewer use CO2 Hop Extract?

Example, 800 grams of alpha-acid per 2 Kg tin.


You would use: 16.0 tines, each containing 800 grams of alpha-acid. This gives 12.8Kg of Alpha-Acid for this brew.

For conversion to barrel use: 1 Barrel = 1.17HL
