Tetra Iso-Extract-10%

Overview

HopsteinerTetra Iso-Extract provides protection from light-struck flavor only in the absence of normal, iso-cc-acids bittering. In this regard, it is important that no other resources of non-reduced iso-a-acids are inadvertently introduced into the wort or beer. (Common sources of contamination are equipment surfaces and pitching yeasts that have had previous contact with iso-a-acids).

Hopsteiner@ Tetra ISO-Extract can be safely used in conjunction with Hopsteiner Reduced ISO-Extract to achieve beer light stability together with ideal foam and bitterness characteristics.

Hopsteiner Tetra ISO-Extract provides 1.6 to 1.8 times the perceived bitterness as compared to the same IBIJ level from traditional hopping. Therefore, the target level for beer IBLI must be proportionally reduced to achieve the correct degree of sensory bitterness.

Hopsteiner Tetra ISO-Extract provides improved foam retention and cling. Beer foam enhancement can be achieved with as little as 3 to 5 I.B.U.'s of Hopsteiner Tetra ISO-Extract

Hopsteiner Tetra ISO-Extract has good storage stability. When stored in sealed containers at room temperature, Hopsteiner Tetra ISO-Extract will maintain its integrity for at least 12 montys. Ambient storage temperatures between 70F (21C) and 80F (27C) are ideal. Costs associated with handling, storage and shipping are much lower than those for baled or pelletized hops when compared on an equivalent bittering basis.
